Hi everyone, Have been to Turkey 3 or 4 times now. Have bought an appartment in Fethiye last year although just finished this year. Need to furnise to use but will be over in early May. Stayed in Calis last summer, very nice area and will do a lot of visits this summer. Great Forum.
Family consists of Wife Donna, Daughter Emma 15 and Son Benjamin 13.

Hi Tel n family Calis is a beautiful place i cant fault it, we have been going to Calis for 12 years twice yearly. the people will soon get to know you we love Calis. Good luck

Hi Greenat and family, welcome to the forum. Have a really good time furnishing your apartment and then get as much enjoyment from it as you can. My wife, Sue, is at this moment arriving at our house in Calis while I am still in UK. I hope to be following her in about four or five weeks. Hope that you will enjoy your visits to Fethiye/Calis as much as we do.

Terry, Donna, Emma and Benjamin - great to see you on the forum.

There is stacks of really useful information and don't forget to use the "search" facility - I am amazed at what you can find.

Thanks for all the welcomes. Would like to spend more time out in Turkey but due to work i can't! Unless i can get a fast BroadBand/ADSL connections. Maybe someone could tell me the details of speed and cost.  Thanks Oh by the way where's the best place to buy a bike?

Hi and a warm welcome to the Forum.  Try the search for buying a bike, it only came up a few days ago.
ADSL......256/64Kbps costs about 50ytl a month. Not certain but you may be able to get faster....Try www.telekom.gov.tr  you may get some info there. :)

a 512 conection with telecom is 99 tl a month (unlimited downloads)
there is a new bike shop opened on the migros road
i ve seen bikes from 125 tl

I had an ADSL line for a time last year as I was 'working from home' in Turkey while we waited for my husbands visa to come through.
I had a 1MB line - cost was 166YTL a month (plus the cost of the land line).
