Hello everyone I am Heather, me and my hubby Nigel have been regular visitors to Calis for 13 years and we cannot fault the place. we have had an amazing week in our new apartment and though the weather has been mixed we have been on a complete high. All the hotels and bars are now ready for the influx of tourists and the atmosphere is fabulous. We really struggle to return to the uk and we work for our next flight which is early June Gosh the week has flown by.
We did get some funny looks from the locals as we carried our cleaning materials through the market. Its awful to wish my life away but role on June when we return to our piece of paradise which is Calis.
Byeeeee

Glad you all had a wonderful time ! :)

glad there are like minded people out there, we were there over the Easter break for two weeks, furnishing our Villa, we have scrimped and saved and have managed to squeeze in another week 23 June, just the two of us this time though, (shame girls will be at school!!), no doubt the wife will be crying at the end of the holiday, yet again, maybe our migration to Calis will have to be sooner, rather than later, mark 8)

Heather, last time I was in Calis I walked through the market with two axes and a 1Kg hammer and noone bothered even when I stopped off at the local shop on the way home!. So pleased that you had a good time during your last visit. I shall be out there from June 12 and as Sue, my wife, has already been there two weeks and has tidied up the garden, it should be ready for me!.

I have to reply, I just cannot think of a reason why a man would need TWO axes?
Are you a nutcase? ;)

Scunner, I'm don't I'm a nutcase just yet; the axes were of different sizes. One was medium size for large lumps of wood and the other was a small one for chopping kindling for the soba. Does that seem reasonable or maybe the ramblings of a nutcase :D
