Hello again! Just wanted to say, i was really worried about making the step to buy a property in turkey(remortgage an all)and were only half way through our purchase, but now i don't feel alone or worried about asking any questions,thanks! and also for the warm welcome. Bee

hi bee it is a great worry,been there so know how you feel and a few members will also agree too,but once you get your tapu ,well that feeling overrides anything else,the day we got ours we just sat on the wall outside the offices and just looked at it and hugged each other

Hello bee welcome to the forum my name is Heather and we too have recently purchased a place in Calis we were really nervous too, what with remortgage etc and we havnt got our tapu yet. Its exciting yet scary but its good to know that so many on this forum have been through this and i have enjoyed reading about others experience. Good Luck and have fun

Know exactly how you feel, after we has signed the papers to buy our place, we got back to the hotel and thought, oh god what have we done. But the feeling when you spend the first night in your new home is unbelievable. We haven't got our tapu yet, but hopefully it won't be long

Hi Bee

Know exactly what you mean.  We bought last July (I flew out by myself, saw and signed papers in just a few days) and were worried right up to the point that we received the Tapu a few weeks ago.  Since then all has been great.  This Forum was fantastic in helping us through the process - from where to buy furniture to pictures of what should be on the Tapu itself.  Everyone is really friendly and helpful - a great community.  There might be a few odd-balls on the Forum at times but even they try to help most of the time.

So long as you budget within your means the other worries disappear and get replaced by feelings of joy, personal satisfaction and a realisation that you are making happiness and are really alive and well. Well it has for me!
