As some have you have seen with my previous post, I'm looking at digital cameras as gifts.
I'm somewhat bemused that many of the cameras available now have no viewfinder but just rely on the LCD screen. As many of these cameras have quite good zoom lenses - how the hell do you know exactly what you're getting without looking through a viewfinder & centering? Relying instead on a 2-3" small picture of the scene!
Have you got a new NO viewfinder camera & do you think they are anywhere as near as good as a camera with a viewfinder?
I really would like opinions on this. I've tried looking at our LCD screen in the sunlight & couldn't see a damned thing. Am I missing something??
Don't come back with good eyesight - my one eye is perfect!
