Good evening campers
Following on from the "Book Early" thread elsewhere, have any members tales to tell of times they have spent at Pontins or Butlins. We took the kids (my God, how long ago must that be) to Butlins Ayr and had a great time. Some really scary photographs still exist I fear.
The fact that you could go out for the evening without worrying (too much) about the kids safety was such a big help back then.
I know it's going to be picked on as being typically Scottish, but price was a big consideration also.
PS Biggest "star" I remember being there was Roy Aitken, the footballer
