Good for you Tors....LOL
Weather updated, now reading a weekend of sun with cloud.
Hope that's correct, don't need rain....yet anyway.

We were going home on the night of the last storm - Dalaman was lit brightly and the rain was lashing down! My daughter was travelling home separately on a Thomas Cook flight scheduled to leave 10 minutes after us whilst we flew out with Easyjet.

Flights were delayed by a computer problem in UK that day and my daughter's flight was going out 40 minutes after our flight. Much to my surprise when we landed at Gatwick, my daughter rang to inform me that her plane had been struck by lightning and had to make an emergency landing at Izmir Airport! The plane shook and the pilot had to land the plane manually. It was a frightening experience for her but Thomas Cook took them to a lovely 5 star hotel and the staff were wonderful. They eventually returned to UK the following evening.

Not such a wonderful night for us wondering how she was but all's well that ends well  :)

Glad things worked out for you all and a good PR for Thomas Cook for a change
