Hi from Topaz
« on: August 05, 2008, 16:53:17 PM »
I hope this ends up on the new member intro bit, because I said hello before but ended up somewhere else![xx(]

Coming out to Calis on Saturday, for the first time, and really looking forward to it. Have been reading the forum for a couple of weeks and found loads of useful info.  Think I'll try the "all in" at Kum City Beach Club on Tuesday and still searching the site for things to do with an 11 year old! Any suggestions welcome ...

Thanks all

Hi Topaz,

Welcome to the forum. Does your 11 year old swim and like the water? If so there are some excellent day trips out at sea and they are very reasonable price wise.

Hi Topaz, welcome to CBF, I am sure that you will have a great first holiday in Calis  8) Which Washington are you from, West Sussex or Tyne and Wear?

Thanks for the welcome everyone. I'm from the Tyne & Wear Washington - the home of George (well, his ancestors anyway!)

Yes, my daughter swims very well, so I was thinking about some boat trips and the aqua park will probably keep her amused - and hopefully tired at the end of the day!

Where abouts are you staying Topaz?

Theres loads to do around here and will definatly keep your daughter entertained!
Aqua park is a good idea... (i walked past about 3.30 on saturday and think they said happy hour over the speakers 2 for 1!)
Boat trips.. the 12 island one from fethiye is about 15ytl!
Beach Park (Kum City) is always full of kids! (i'm down there saturday and sundays though the day.. so say hii!)
If your thinking of going out of Calis.. get the Dolmus from fethiye to Olu Deniz and visit the blue lagoon its beautiful!!
Jeep Safari's are always a good laugh... fond memories of them from my childhood!!!

If you walk down calis main street or the beach front theres plenty of tour companies who will talk u though what they have to offer and prices!!

Hope to see you when u get here!

x

Hi Tors - thanks for the info.  I'm staying in Gunlukbasi (hope I got that right?), so I don't think I'm too far out. I'll keep an eye out for you at Beach Park - I'll be the one the colour of a milk bottle!

Gunlukbasi perfect spelling... my neighbour has lived her years and she still calls it gunberlasi!
Just hop on the dolmus and you'll be in Calis in no time (dolmus is 1.50... nothing really!)

Haha dont worry about your whiteness ive been here 3 months and im only just starting to get a tan...!!
