...and this one is definitely a goner  :)

Just on the edge of the bird sanctuary, mugged by a gang of kingfishers:

Just for a bit of scale, the object immediately below the two rocks in the very top left is a good size corn on the cob. Here is his handsome profile:

I take kids from school to an Agricultural College on a Monday and Tuesday and today I stroked a snake (a live one!!) in the Reptile Room.  I was well pleased with myself, cos I'm a real scaredy-cat normally!  (The thought of Laffa's mouse on the weekend made me go cold!!)   :-\

Refused to hold it though - it was huge!  Didn't fancy it curled around my arm!!   :)

One slithered across the path in front of us once. I reckon it was just where that photo was taken- on the way through to the humpy bridge from Erdemler- I was dead 'ard and just carried on as normal althoug to be fair I have walked very briskly and with my head down on that route ever since!

It is a Western Whip Snake, or as I prefer to call them, Coluber viridiflavus. They are not harmful to humans, especially dead ones. I know that because KKOB said.
