Weather in March in Chalis
« on: January 14, 2009, 19:06:38 PM »
Hello
I last visited Chalis around 16 years ago and I doubt that I would recognise it now. I can remember a taxi boat that went to Fethiye, is this still running ?
I am now considering a trip towards the end of March can anyone please tell me if it has warmed up a bit by then and what temperatures can be expected
Thanks for any help

Last year I had a 1 week stay in Turkey in mid March. Day time very pleasant (Up to 65 degree C). It was too cold for a swim or sun bathing. Evenings cooler but far from cold. Take a jumper.
If you want a quiet relaxed time it is a good time to go but most restaurants and shops in Calis are not open, though you will be able to find one or two that are.

Well spotted Alan - wishful thinking on my part. Had just had a morning on the farm and it was bloody cold!
I should have said 16 degrees Celsius/61 Farenheight. (The conversion is easy to remember as the numbers interchange)

We went in March last year, and had some lovely weather (but also some heavy downpours!  Be prepared - take a brolly!)   :)
