sunset beach bar (Turkish: Gun Batimi)

we last went here when it was Caretta Beach Restaurant and Bar - then in June we found it closed.  Tried again today and happily it has reopened just one week ago under new management.  they have done some refurb (not quite complete) and some things not quite ready e.g. a printed menu.  However, it is much better than before as somewhat smartened, given that this is a fairly simple place at the very end of the pier, so to speak - where Kargi meets Ciftlik, turn left down the track, follow your nose round to the right, and the bar/restaurant is at the end.  The owners have promised proper signage.  They will collect you from Calis etc and most importantly intend to open all year round. It was full of Turkish families today, enjoying extended Bayram celebrations.  Orhan (front of "house") has good English, phone 0537 622 6087.  This is for general info only, usual disclaimers apply!

We found when it was Caretta Caretta that if you told the car park man that you were going to the restaurant he didn't charge you. Worth trying again if going to the new place.

Is this new beach bar run by Adem, or other people?  We met Adem in August, (he was part of the Carretta,Carretta duo) he and his partner had had a parting of ways and we gather another party had moved in and taken over, rebuilding new premises.  Adem is now going through the courts to regain his bar/restaurant back?
Living in Ciftlik this bar is local to us and last summer we had some brilliant days / meals there.  We have Adems mobile but I left my mobile phone in Ciftlik so can not ring him until October!  Would be interested to know any other sides to this one.
