At last, some sense comes to British law...

Jailed intruder attacker Munir Hussain freed by court

A businessman who was jailed for permanently injuring an intruder who attacked him and his family has been freed by the Court of Appeal.

A man jailed for defending his home and family from thug burglars who entered HIS home. I'd buy him a pint or ten.

Yes I understand so.

Here is part of the BBC story:

The pair left Salem with a permanent brain injury after hitting him with a cricket bat.

The force of the blow was so hard that it broke the bat into three pieces.

Moral of the story...always have a spare cricket bat.

One bit of good news, I agree. Still a long way to go before the UK returns to sanity though.

Agreed. He also wasn't acquitted of the crime, just had his sentence reduced and suspended - so in law he was still wrong :(
