This may be a strange question (very strange actually) but does anyone know the law on weapons (firearms and knives etc.) in Turkey?

A very old cliche, but true, I'm asking this for a friend.

That's a very broad question. You need to be far more specific. Are you talking about Purchasing, Supplying, Carrying, Owning, Using etc etc ?

I think she meant along the lines of defence against them, like what are our rights as vivsitors or something.

She wasn't very clear to me, hence why the post isn't.
