You can discount all the Man U stuff, he wasn't manager!

Also 'guiding' Middlesbrough to 11th/12th isn't much of an accolade, Brown did that for Hull and they won't be keeping him!!! He is remembered as an ultra-negative coach by many, and you may remember a fan ripping up his season ticket and chucking it at him - he wasn't popular and his tactics certainly weren't.

dont really want to get into an argument about steve mclaren lol....it was my opinion only...working under sir alex is fantastic experience and as his title "assistant manager"states,he assisted with the success of man utd.,and 11/12th finish is much better than phil brown achieved.mclaren currently stands 2nd in the dutch league,and with a good chance of winning it.he is english,yorkshire born and bred.an ex hull player.an ex england manager ( so must have impressed somebody )..then again,i am a tad sad that browny got the sack,but lets face facts,6 wins in 60 games mmmm ,something had to give.

fc twente this season under mclaren..played 27 won 22  lost 1 scored 51 against 21 ( +30 gd ).dont think that is ultra negative tactics.lol     right back at you scunner :-)

should of had that double.relegation with dowie at the helm,then stevie mac to take over in the summer,then back up to the prem,then back down,then back up,then back down,then back up,then back down,then........city hull
