Taken from 606 today - it's so true:
I love the fact that Fergie chose to blame a particular nationality for his side's defeat.
Of course, I don't blame him for trying to protect Rafael. The youngster played exceptionally until that silly shirt tug - which was clearly a yellow card - and doesn't need to be vilified.
And of course Fergie also wants to deflect any blame away from Carrick's rubbish performance and any possible questioning about his selection of a clearly still-injured Rooney.
Despite all of this, to blame the "typical Germans" is so anachronistic it is slightly embarrassing, not to mention factually incorrect.
I'm sure van Gaal, van Bommel and Robben (all proud Dutchmen) and Ribery (French) will have had a chuckle upon hearing themselves being labelled "typical Germans" by a ranting Scot with a knighthood!
