But surely you should keep both and transfer back into sterling if the rate drops right down again or your money is losing value. I believe Ron or someone else said earlier the Turkish Government plan to drop the interest rate and it is half what it was a year or two back you cannot rely on it all the time and then your capital will be gone.

We opened daily interest tl a/c (checking a/c) with Garanti when over in July.Nothing was said regarding tax number.  I'm now totally confused, will we need to sort this when we're back over in October? if so how. where etc?
Also looks as tho we've lost a couple of £............
