Hello to everyone,

My wife and I would like to say hi and ask some advice.  We are going to come to Fethiye end of April to look at buying a home in the sun.  We have been a number of times on holiday and find most areas lovely.  We are actually looking for recommendations for quieter area's around Fethiye, any suggestions much appreciated.

Best regards,

John & Jane (Wolverhampton)

Hi John & Jayne, welcome to the forum.
If you use the search facility i am sure you will find the answer to your question. I would also suggest that you contact the site sponsors, they will be able to help you.

Hi John and Jane, welcome to the forum. I am a new member also and absoloutely love it!! We are going out to the same area as you are interested in at the beginning of May hoping to be lucky (we looked in Sept), but were maybe not motivated enough at the time. Like you we want a quiter area let us know how you get on. Mary Anne.

Hi and welcome. We have bought a home in the Tasyaka district of Fethiye near to the main bus station(not dolmus) As a permanent home we wanted to be part of the Turkish community and not on a complex of mainly holiday houses but it all depends what YOU want. The one way ticket is booked for May. It is very quiet and peaceful yet close to all the shops including Migros and 15-20 mins walk to the marina. We could not have been made to feel more welcome here. If you have any specific question about the area feel free to E mail me or post it on the forum.

Hi John and  Jane
we brought an apartment in calis about 18 months ago, about 15 walk from the beach, it's lovely, but will be joining you in the search for another home as we plan to live there, so lets hope we find what we are looking for, and good luck,
amanda and mark

Hi John and Jane

Welcome to the forum.  We have a place in Ovacik which is approx 10 mins on a dolmus from Fethiye centre and approx 5 mins (dolmus) to Oludeniz.  We decided to buy in this village as we have stunning views and being at the foot of the mountains it's a bit cooler in the summer.  I don't know if this area is too far out for you but if not it may be worth you taking a look.  Good luck with your search and I'm sure wherever you buy will be lovely.

Best wishes

Linda and Colin  :)
