Carnival Website hacked!
« on: December 27, 2010, 21:51:00 PM »
Sorry to have to report that the Calis Carnival website has been hacked into so is currently unavilable.  Thanks to Gordon and Loz and Jim Jim for letting us know. Our website administrator has been informed and hopefully will be able to get us back online as soon as possible.

The website has now been checked and is up and running again - no thanks to the malicious hacker.

It has not been updated yet as we are looking at ways to adapt it to reflect the division of the old Calis Carnival Committee into the two new seperate committees - the Calis Children's Charity and the 2011 Carnival Committee. Please bear with us on this one  :)

Lynn, the organisation of the Carnival Parade and associated items is being handled this year by the Local Business Association and Fethiye Beledere and as yet I have not seen what they propose to be offering.

The group responsible for previous Carnival and Concert activities is very much alive and kicking under the "Calis Children's Charity" banner and is concentrating on raising funds for local "good causes" where children are involved.

Hi Lynn the Promises Auction's date has been set and is on this site. It is the 1st of June the week after the carnival. The Calis Children's Charity will be holding events such as the spring fair to support carnival week. But at the moment they are in the planning stages, so dates to come as soon as we have firmed up arrangements. We will announce them on this site as soon as we can. Thank you for thinking of us and any contributions will be very gratefully received:D:D:D
