Most of us who travel to turkey travel with charter airlines such as thomas cook, easyjet, etc, these airlines are not allowed to carry any kind of cargo on any flight without having the the correct licence from the CAA, and currently none of them do.
Easyjet have been looking at the subject of cargo for some time should they be granted a cargo licence it would also allow them to use the airlines IATA payment system, carry other airlines cargo as well as its own and tap into the business sector although some business persons already use easyjet they do miss out on the bulk of the business sector
having said that the amount of cargo that is shipped around the world is very high and that in turn has its risks I can tell you cargo does not have the same kind of checking that you and I have to go thru at the airport although they do xray cargo but it is a bit hit and miss and this just do not apply to UPS it also applies to BA, United, Delta etc we in the UK just have a no care to its clients.
