I was fortunate enough to be taken for lunch at Rocpool Reserve at lunch time today.
It's very chic, far too posh for the likes of me - you can have a look at
www.rocpool.comIt was very interesting though as we all decided to have the express menu. The strap line is "Compromise on time not quality" This is taken from the website.
The RouXpress menu consists of four smaller courses, all of which are served in individual dishes gathered together on one plate at the very reasonable price of £12.95 per person. The RouXpress is served for lunch only in the restaurant and all day in the R bar and changes every 2 weeks.
The portions were
very small indeed, the main course consisted of three pieces of meat each about the length of my thumb on a similar length of mash potatoe, but nonetheless the food was absolutely delicious.
As you may know, I don't get out much and have never seen this idea before,
So what do you think. Should I be suggesting this idea to restaurateurs in Calis to bring in customers
.
Here's the set menu
