Our hastily put together Antiques Roadshow game for the 3C's charity in Calis has raised

£235.39

I'd say that is a useful total for something that was great fun to play and was raised in only a week from conception to conclusion. Jacqui and I hope that this will be an annual CBF fund raising event - we hope that starting it earlier will mean more antiques to guess the value of, more time to explain how to play and how to donate using Paypal, and ultimately more chance to raise cash.

Thank yous are important - to Jacqui for the idea to offer valuations in the first place, to everyone who joined the game, to those who donated way more than the number of bids they placed, and to the winners of the lots who donated their cash prize straight back to the charity. For the record, there were six winners and all six did this - wonderful.

Thats brilliant thanks to you and Jackie and everyone who took part, you can be assured every penny will be spent helping disadvanaged children in the Fethiye and Calis areas.

Brilliant that all those who won money donated it back. It equates to roughly 600 TL. A lot can be done with that amount over here. Thanks very much Keith and Jaqui and everyone who took part.

A huge, huge thanks both to Jacqui and Keith for staging this competition and another huge thanks to those who paid to enter lots or paid to guess values and another huge thanks to the winners who donated their winnings straight back to our children's charity. You are all very generous, both of your money and your time. It was also great informative fun.

I think Jacqui's idea was a brilliant one and it would be really good if it did become an annual event. As Anne has already said, the £235 will go along way in helping the children out here - for instance that amount would fund 6 monthly bursary payments to enable a poor student to attend university who would otherwise be unable to afford to do so.  Thank you :D
