Oh that would be fantastic!

Also, If you want, we have two 32ml bottles a family member picked up this morning, we think we could arrange for DHL to get them to Anna Marie before her flight on the 28th and save her hunting about for some.

So if it's acceptable to Anna Marie, we can check again with DHL and confirm.

Cheers, Marian.

Thought It was a good idea, but just phoned DHL - they are having a laugh!
Yes they are operating throughout Xmas & New year, but same day delivery for Xmas & Boxing day is 900 quid!

27th & 28th December delivery is 400 quid. Bleeding heck!

Andy, you and your guy's are bluddy magic!

And the power of this forum is amazing!

Thank you so much.

The dog is still in tremendous pain with fracture complications, so you are a star.

Merry Xmas Animal Aid!

Cheers, Marian.

Absolutely!

Thanks to Andy for coming to the rescue!

Jack, our Greyhound's pain has improved greatly since we gave him Metacam.

The problem with Greyhounds is, that they cannot take the normal dose of meds that would normally be prescribed for another dog their size and weight.
I am not sure why this is, but they can get an adverse reaction to meds and anesthesia which can kill them.
So when they are prescribed drugs it has to be halved for them, so therefore, the drugs are not as effective at relieving pain.

Although it's very reassuring to know that the Vets we have used here in Turkey are aware of this problem with Greyhounds, some will not even prescribe any painkillers for him at all.
However, Metacam is a painkiller that is safe to use on them at the normal dose. Just not available in Turkey.

David & I are very grateful to Andy for helping us, the dog has some fracture complications and was howling in pain.

So it just goes to show what a wonderful caring bunch Andy and the Animal Aid team are, especially after all the bad press and negative comments from certain individuals recently.

Thanks to Scunner for allowing us put the post on here too.
