I live just down the road from the Ankavet and I must admit I was surprised to hear about the Boxer dogs - I often pop into the vets and chat to the two ladies there - I always look at the dogs in the kennels at the back and they always seem well looked after.  I hope your dogs have recovered ok and I am saddened you had this experience.

Ankavet look after our 2 dogs and our street dog very well and they love him. However after a blood test he has misdiagnosed our Rotties illness and gave insuffiecient tablets for our large dog. We took a 2nd opinion from another vet and after more tests our fears were proved correct on our dogs illness. Ankavet will still be our vet for injections and general illnesses. He is a new, young vet and very good with animals.

Can I ask if there is a rule which says that you must make some  kind input to the forum within a certain time? Just asking as there must be a lot of members who have'nt made any comment for say over a year or so. Would all these members be given the same welcome when they did make a post?

There is no requirement to post within a certain time, or to post at all if you prefer not to. I would suggest you knew that anyway and want to stir the topic a little. As already explained, quite clearly, people who's motivation to finally post for the first time is to give negative publicity about someone is not a good sign and is not in keeping with the community we have created. People fail to see that on the receiving end of these posts is a man's livelihood - posts like these are only unacceptable when you are the person being slated in front of 8,000 strangers.

If anyone thinks a free for all 'turn up and attack' forum is the way things should be, I would encourage them to set one up and how it pans out in the real world. Until then, please just accept that we are doing our best to run a forum for the benefit of everyone - on the forum and not - and for the area.

And with that I can either answer every forthcoming post with "If you don't like the way we do things you don't have to don't come", or I can point out that this topic has run it's course and lock it.

Guess which one I chose.
