When you get off the "big bus", you get the local dolmus as previous. It would appear that more chickens are now living longer since the new road; every little helps.
The restoration of the Roman settlement is taking a long time, but it is getting there. I understand that the site is credited to have the worlds first lighthouse. Apart from the obvious, it helped with shallow sea bottom; hence it is good for kids swimming. 8)

Well worth a visit.We spent a wonderful day there on the beach and around the ruins and lunch in the village.The new road to Patara is a dream to drive.
