I used to be inundated with spam emails like this so a few years ago I replied to a few of them thanking them for their interest and assuring them that in my capacity as an Internet Fraud Investigator for the Metropolitan Police Commission I would be looking into their claims as soon as I returned to the office on Monday morning.  

The SPAMs reduced to just a few within a week, stopped completely within a month and I've never received one since.
