Translation into Turkish please
« on: April 11, 2012, 10:01:48 AM »
Dear friends of ours in Turkey recently lost a family member and we will be visiting them soon. As the husband speaks little/no English can anyone kindly tell me how I would say:
'we are very sorry for your sad loss'
 - with pronunciation as well if possible please. Many thanks in advance

The phrase to use in Turkish is başiniz sagolsun.

If you copy and paste this into Google translate, you can listen to the pronounciation which is correct.
Don't pay attention to the translation though :P

Hmm...why do the Turkish letters that I have written change after posting??

The i is without dot and the g is a Turkish g.

The forum software can only handle the 'normal' alphabet or the Turkish one, it doesn't manage to do both together so we have to choose one.
