Have we lost the facility to edit our posts or have I lost the plot?

There is a settable time that allows members to edit their posts - currently set at 5 minutes to allow members to nip back in and change any typos and the like. This again is to prevent people returning to delete their posts one after the other if they have thrown their toys out of the pram (which longer term members will know several incidents of). Once they take this petty course of action, topics can be incredibly hard to follow.

I do see that 5 minutes is way to short and will change that.

Ok guys

I have made some changes - you can now edit your posts up to 12 hours after posting. This should prevent the wholesale deletion problem detailed above and allow people to edit the post (they made after the pub) the next morning.

Also, you can now edit your posts up to 10 minutes after posting, without it adding a line/note that you edited it. This is good for people who make little mistakes and don't particularly want everyone to know  ;)
