Local Market / Supermarkets
« on: September 19, 2012, 10:31:24 AM »
Hi, could anyone advise what days the market is on please to get fresh fruit, veg, chicken etc.  Also, prob a daft question but are there any supermarkets which do low-fat products i.e. low fat cheese, half fat sausages, brown bread etc - I know they probably don't but its worth a try.
Which would be the best supermarket in Calis for fresh bread, milk etc.  Also we will need to buy all cupboard essentials - which would be the best value supermarket?
We are staying at Lissa Apartments which I gather is near the waterpark so anywhere near that would be great.

Many thanks for your help  ;D

Calis Sunday market for fruit and veg and more.
Kipa(tesco) opened near court house.

There is  Bim and Genpa only 100 yards from waterpark. These are smaller than Kipa but okay for the basic supplies.

You are seldom more than 50 yards away from a fresh loaf.

Brown bread is readily available in all Supermarkets.  As already said Sunday Market for fruit and veg.  Bim which is close to you is excellent for staples.

Çalış market on Sunday
Fethiye market on Tuesday and Friday.
Bim and Genpa are fine  for  basics.
Kipa for a wider range of products.
Most corner shops have two or three deliveries of bread each day.
There is a new baker close to Cafe Pazar.
For wider range of products there is the big Migros close to Zakkum restaurant and Kipa on the Günlükbaşı road.

I know you have to move with the times, but it seems Calis is getting like any other european town supermaket on every corner, the little corner shops will soon be gone, shame because they have their charm. :(
