Izmir Bus Station to Airport

Can anyone tell me if there has been any improvement in the connection between the bus station in Izmir and the airport ? Is there a direct bus between the two nowadays ? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks, Tom.

I have found the answer to my question.
The 204 bus leaves Bornova at 20 to the hour, most of the day. The bus calls in to the Bus Station (Garaj) on its way to the airpost. The Garaj is not far from Bornova, so I guess it will be there about a quater to each hour. Here is a link to the site that gives the route and bus times:

Choose the 204 from the drop down box and then click on either 'GÜZERGAH GÖSTER' for the map or 'HAREKET SAATLERi' FOR THE TIMETABLE.  You will have to adjust the zoom on the map and adjust the position to see the route.

Hi - we are staying in Izmir town centre in July for a few days before flying back to Manchester - I believe there is a very good train service ( a new one in Turkey for us ) that only costs 2 or 3 lira to the airport - hope that helps - Ian :-)
