I prefer daffodil as it is my granddaughters first birthday.

Our first daffodil came out today (opened, not declared it is gay). As for leeks, best sliced and made like cauliflower cheese. Cheers Welsh folks!

Those leeks are lovely wrapped in ham with the cheese sauce too, yum yum.

My daffs aren't out yet so it's leeks here - sauteed in butter to go with duck breast for tonight's meal.

My miniature daffodils in the tubs outside my door are out, but the big ones are in the ground keeping warm.  I often use Leeks instead of onions in pastas, stews, casseroles etc.,

Ah I watched Food glorious food and there was 'Dragon Pie' Leeks wrapped in ham, topped with mashed potato and a cheese sauce on the top... wasn't too sure of the combination myself, but the leeks wrapped in ham bit did sound nice. I think it may have been the 'dragons breath' that put me off  :)
