Nobody has mentioned the good old Morris Traveller. My husband had one when we met.

My Dad had a reliant Robin.. He put bench seats in the back for us 3 kids. No windows.  He drove us hundreds of miles in it allover the lake district for our holidays..It used to go up and down the 1 in 3 hills in Scotland with not a lot of trouble.. Or at least it seemed to us kids that it didnt.... I didnt pass my test until I was 40 so my first car was a Ford Sierra GL.. I absolutley loved it and cried when I left it on the forecourt after I traded it in for a new car...  C123 XEO  Not many people forget their first number plate..

My Dad never had a car as he never learnt to drive. As a family of 6 we used to go on our hols (in a caravan) every year to Blackpool on the Crossville bus and we had loads of fun as from the top deck we played a game of "First to spot the Blackpool Tower"!! My first ever car was a Datsun Bluebird 1800 which was originally orange and someone hand painted it in blue gloss paint - all went well until it rained before the paint dried and left it forever mottled!! Was a lovely car though - loved it !!

JFR 914N My first registration, a blue mini with two clothes pegs on the choke, and ventilation through the rust holes in the floor. I would regularly need to scrape the inside of the windows when it was frosty!!   :)
