Is it Spring?
« on: April 10, 2013, 13:03:32 PM »
Well the temperature has crept into double figures, there is no bite to the wind that has switched to the south, I do believe that things are starting to grow, so I have emptied, cleaned, refilled and switched on the fountain. Might go back out into the garden with a beer and contemplate my handiwork - granddaughter permitting.

We've had gloriously sunny weather for the past few weeks, but once outside, the cold tells you it's clearly still winter! Still lots of snow on them there hills!

Colwyn good to hear that the weather is picking up at last in the UK. Its been Spring - the season of love - for ages here in Calis, well according to the frogs whose evening love croaking continues night after night. ;D

Just come back from Antalya where the weather has been great, around 24, to Fethiye where the temperature is a delightful 23, and our visitors have just gone out to top up the tan they started in Antalya.  And the next 15 day forecast looks good too, so it looks like we are on the home run into the Summer from now 8) 8)

Sounds good USB. But I shall be looking forward to strolling through bluebell woods this month. They are already clothed with wood anemones. Oh to be in England ..... etc.

I wandered lonely as a-----------ect.I did my fountain last week and just had to cover it with wire mesh, half a dozen pigeons are trying to turn it into a grey slurry. The garden's coming alive, good time of year.       :)  :)

Kevin, I think you might like Tom Lehrer's greeting to spring:

Excellent Colwyn, you've set me thinking.    :) Alongside my place a couple of years ago they replaced a field and two lovely horses with a "retirement complex" and it's residents feed the pigeons. In the summer it's like a food fight with the bread flying out the windows for these feathered rodents.Do you think you could find a song for poisoning pensioners.?     ;)  ;)
