Hi, there seems to have been a little confusion over the programme for the FETAV Fest week of events which kicks off this Friday at Calis Aquapark. On behalf of the organisers, I am posting a copy of an article which is due to appear in Fethiye Times tomorrow which gives the latest details of the weeklong programme and where to obtain tickets etc. (Keith I know FETAV Fest has it's own section, but I hope you don't mind me posting the programme here? - thanks )
FETAV FEST BAHAR WEEK LAUNCH THIS FRIDAY
The first FETAV Fest Bahar Week gets underway in Fethiye and the surrounding area this week when the launch party takes place at Çaliş Aquapark on Friday Evening.
Last September Fethiye Tourism, Culture and Environmental Education Foundation (FETAV), aided by the local charities who work under its umbrella, held an evening to raise funds to assist with the running of the foundation. The evening was so successful that it was decided to hold a weeklong programme of activities this year, not only to raise funds for the foundation itself, but with all of the local charities organizing their own individual events during the week to highlight their own activities and to raise money for their own good causes.
The launch party at the Aquapark on Friday 17 May which is the main fundraiser for FETAV, kicks off the festivities at 7.30 pm with a music and dance extravaganza embracing Turkish and International cultures. Those who came to this event last year will remember what a wonderful evening it was. Once again, Paul Wynter and Andrew Tait will be singing for your pleasure and they will be accompanied by Fethiye’s own Performance Dance, a DJ and much more. Tickets are just 20TL which includes a free drink of your choice on arrival (not imported alcohol). All food and drink items throughout the evening have been negotiated by the organisers at only 5TL each.
