Despite the forbodings of doom and gloom........
« on: June 21, 2013, 22:19:31 PM »
The busiest arrivals hall we've seen at Dalaman in 7 years (10.30pm 14th June)
And a thriving Calis promenade - restaurants brimming - nice to see   :)  :)  :)
(although we try to avoid such expensive establishments - lokantas for us every time  ;D )

Good to hear Çaliş is brimming and a short walk into the Paspatur seemed to indicate Fethiye is busier too.

Thomson Airways is offering some very good deals on return flights over the next few weeks - see their Facebook page and I wondered if they had a run of cancellations in recent days???

I arrived early hours last Thursday 20th  (4 hr delay from Gatwick)  landed just after 5am  no Visa Booths open!
Had to wait for some one to go and find them to come back to booth.

Travelling home Saturday (yesterday)  lots of people were going in the naughty books,  one gentleman was trying to take a knife out of the country, others still had toiletries in their cases.
I too had small bottles of toiletries but did not get stopped.

Haven't seen it as busy as it was this eve for years. Lots of Turkish families too and a lot of younger people.
