We have had them in our house too, they run a mile to keep away from you.   Look at it like this...They are just making a living and helping us humans out.

I could not even begin to imagine killing something like that on purpose, (or even accidentally)  makes me shudder to think about it!  :(

I wouldn't want to kill it but would definitely want it out of the house - the thought of it being indoors makes me shudder.
Angela, do you feel the same about cockroaches - i.e. shudder at the thought of them being killed?

Loz suffers from ;Herpetophobia, (no, NOT a fear of "her pets" ;)   ;D !, but rather ,a fear of all reptiles, be it; snakes, lizards, frogs or toads .For my part, I love reptiles, But, I am absolutely terrified, & do not mind admitting it, of cockroaches, & BIG spiders. I believe that the cockroach carries more disease than all other creepy-crawlies put together. When we are in Turkey, we don't see many in our property, but Loz does have to kill the odd bugger that does venture in there, I won't go within 10 feet of them !!   :o :o

Bluwise I don't like to kill  anything particularly, (apart from mossies, and the occasional husband,  no tears there I'll admit), but I get softer as I get older most definitely!!

I love geckos and we have several in our house. Not such a big fan of spiders but tend to leave them alone especially around window frames as they too catch mossies and annoying flies in their web.

All of last summer I had a spider web directly above my head in our bedroom which survived along with spider until I woke up one morning to discover the spider dangling perilously close to my head so out of the window it went and the cobweb hoovered away  ;D
