No Menthol, it is a small Island off Kaş.  You could go to Rhodes and visit Lidl etc.  It will be cheaper to get to Meis and the trip to Kaş is lovely.  You have a few hours on the Island and it is nice sitting at one of restaurants by the  sea.

Meis is also known as  Kastellorizo, Castellorizo, Megisti or Meyisti.

There's a page about it on Wikipedia at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kastellorizo

It's well worth a day out there. If you're fit enough you can take the 400 or so steps up to the plateau behind the village or just take a stroll up to the airport.

Found it! A Greek island less than 3km off the Turkish coast .... definitely another trip to add to the list.

And when we are there long term, going to do the Fethiye to Antalya drive on the D400. I do like Antalya.

Thank you everyone for all your information and thank you, Jerron for asking a question I didn't realise I needed answer to!

So, excuse my ignorance, this is my fourth year travelling to and from turkey and I never actually knew about this. So does this mean that when I get off the plane I don't have to join the visa queue as I have already gotten a visa in June, and that I can just go straight through the customs desk?

Yes, as long as you won't be staying more than 90 days in total over both visits - in the six months since the visa was issued in June.

We got a sticker visa on 5/7 and stayed in Turkey for 21 days. We visited gain on 13/8 for 12 days using the same visa. We now plan another trip on 19/12 and leaving 2/1
This approximates to 181 or 182 days.
Can we do this.
Would this also mean we could not visit again for another 180 days-i.e July
Sorry, I know has been explained many times, but still cant figure it

Your visa is only valid for 180 days from 5/7 so if you do not leave on or before day 180 you will be in breach of the visa conditions, my understanding is that you could therefore be fined a daily rate for the period of your overstay, plus (and I will stand corrected on this if wrong) you could be refused entry to Turkey for a period. of course, that's if the passport officer notices! 8)
