It's getting closer to vote on Scottish Independence.

Some time ago I started this poll with the question...

Do you think that Scotland should stay as part of the UK?

At the moment 79% of those that voted said Aye/Yes.

Have people changed their mind or do the overwhelming majority still think that Scotland should remain part of the union.

The poll is set so people who have changed their mind can change their vote   :)

Alex Salmond has had a prototype of this Character Jug made by Royal Doulton.  He is still unsure whether to let them go into full production yet.  I would think September will be the month he decides.
I will still be voting NO.. Nothing will change my mind.  I watched an Economist on T.V. the other morning. He was investigating the validity of Salmond's policies to raise the the O.A.Pension to £5.00  per week for each new pensioner and to give existing Pensioners a rise too. Also raising child allowance and giving nursery places to all children who need them.  The Economist said he looked at all the figures and cannot see where the money will come from to do this.  Personally,  I reckon it will be a big hike in taxes.

No doubt he will be asking for foreign aid from the rest of the UK too.

A wonderful romantic ideal. Nothing more. I can't see it happening in September, or ever.

I have no feelings one way or the other really. Only been across the border once and that was last year. what did impress me was the cleanliness and tidiness of the place.   just from a gut instinct I hope they stay as part of the uk  however I believe that whatever benefits are received from wherever in the uk should be enjoyed by all.
