First visit to Calis
« on: August 05, 2014, 21:03:20 PM »
Coming to Calis Sun 10th Aug for our 1st visit after much research on the internet.
Would like any info about the place, good reasonable place  to eat? market days? etc. My husband and I are staying
at the Tugay Hotel. Also plan to look at some properties when we are there. Coca calis and Ciftlik being two areas recommended
for quietness. Any info on these areas would be appreciated.  ;)

Hi Rana,

Not sure if you're checking messages out there but we have a place in Ciftlik and we love it.  Yes, it's quiet but that's part of its charm for us and it's near enough to the action if we need it.  Hope you find something you love.

Thanks Sue, we returned home last night after a great week in Calis. We really enjoyed it and the surrounding area.
We didn't manage to find a property(after much searching) but we are sure the right one will come along. We plan to look again after the summer season  :)

Hi Rana,

you stated you stayed at the Tugay Hotel in Calis, just wondering what you thought of the place as we have booked to stay there at the end of September/October, it had good reports on Tripadvisor, but first hand comments are always better,

thanks

Sharon

Hi Sharon, the hotel was nice, rooms basic but cleaned every day.Buffet breakfast served every day by the pool again basic but nice.
Air con extra cost at £3.00 per day but worth it! Pool nice size and hotel 5-10min walk to beach and prom. As you walk out of the hotel gate turn right and walk straight ahead crossing the main road. Overall would stay there again and the staff friendly and helpful. Hope this helps  :)

Unless air conditioning was specifically excluded from the stated room advertised, it really is unacceptable that they add it on when guests arrive. Especially in August when not having air conditioning would be almost unbearable.
