Nice Day Today
« on: September 13, 2014, 21:46:45 PM »
First of all this probably useless without photos but I don't know how to upload but here goes.Dolmus from Calis to Fethiye Otogar then walked up to the Kings Garden and the tombs via the little side streets.Stopped off for an Efes before walking up to the castle and Kale park. Then slowly down to sokak 34 which runs down some steep steps down the hill behind the amphitheatre bringing you out at the marina, past the statue of Fethiye Bey and a wander round Pas Patur ,into the fish market for another Efes. Then back to the Otogar on the wrong dolmus so off at cathartic but met a friend who took me home on his scooter.Tonight, worn out and hungry so a slow amble to Ayden Pide for huge Jimmmys special mixed grill which I climbed then devoured. Now back at home going to watch one of my latest blockbuster from Hasan.Happy days !

What's Aydin Pide like these days Steve? Believe it or not they came runner up in one of the early CBF restaurant of the year polls - we were very regular visitors and even had the twins birthday there one year. Fridays and Saturdays I remember having to wait for a table!!

Then it went a bit rubbish and we never really think of it these days when deciding where to eat.

It is what it is Keith, cheap and cheerful .but it's clean, the food is simple, plentiful and well cooked.Cem is a great guy who makes you very welcome. They have a little quiet music on now which helps. We still love the place and usually visit once a week but unfortunately I think we are a dying breed as custom seems to have dropped over the years.i woul probably put it in my top 5
