Laminate is usually laid with the "click" system, glue is not usually used, at least in the modern product.  :)  :)

No, not glue but adhesive in the case of Kardean.  They produce very modern flooring and even make their own cleaning product for the floors.  I know that the adhesive used by Kardean is not suitable for a steam cleaner.  This is a shame because I really wanted one for the Kardean floors we have, but I have to follow their advise.   http://www.karndean.com/en-gb/floors?
I would say that it may be best for others to ask about their type of flooring before using a steam cleaner.
