iOS8/CBF problem
« on: February 21, 2015, 18:08:35 PM »
Has anyone else had this problem?

Yesterday I updated my iPad by installing iOS8 but in doing so it has cleared all of my saved login details & passwords, which seems to be a normal trait.

I have gradually been logging into my most used sites and saving the passwords, however when I get to CBF, I have to enter my full login details each time even though I check the 'keep logged in' box.

Can anyone help please?  :-\

All I can say is that I am using ios8 and not having any problems. Try installing the Chrome browser app and see if the problem persists with that. It might help point to where the problem lies

Strange.

When you log on try clicking on the logout option in the menu bar (under the search box)

Then force close Safari (double click the button on the front of the device) and push the safari page up and off the page.

Then start Safari again, check the 'keep me logged on' and see if it works that time

Shut down iPad last night after trying unsuccessfully several times to solve this issue.
Turned on this morning, seems to be working ok, so far   ???

Thanks for the help Steve   ;)

Got limited knowledge of iAnything but this sounds like a privacy/cookie issue.  Check your settings for how cookies are accepted, it may be that your browser is either not accepting all cookies sent by CBF, or is clearing them after each session.  To stay logged in (in simple terms) you need an "active" cookie on your machine.
