Don't complain about drink prices in Fethiye or Calis.......At Dalaman airport a can of Effes 27 lira, wine 24 lira...Argh!! Two drinks 51 lira......Argh!

Not sure why your so surprised Gillian  :)  It's well documented that you pay rip off prices there.
With the good exchange rate at the moment it doesn't seem so bad.  In past years those same drinks would have cost you more than double when converted back into GBP.
We refuse to buy anything there.  Take our own crisps or sandwiches, a drink and have them before we go through.

Not sure why the whole post did not go on! Just said, a beer in Alacati near to Cesme, will set you back 20 lira.....

Also OT, but still about the price of beer....

While down at Ölüdeniz the other day, Mr WB was charged 17 lira for a bottle of Duvel.

In the UK last week, he was charged on average £5.40 - or a tad over 22.5 lira. He's surprised - but naturally delighted - to find one of his favourite tipples is cheaper here than in the UK!  ;D
