It still hasn't changed much, I had an issue in a Middle East country very similar cost me too, I now carry a black & white copy of all relevant docs

For the new copies he charged 20 quid and told me to consider it a fine for the colour copies and having to reprint them.

PS Mind you I am talking about 20 plus years ago and maybe 30.

Colour copiers only became more common about 15 years ago and were quite expensive hence there where not a lot about!
