Hello or should I say merhaba everybody.
We are Lee & Glo Hocknell from Stoke (potteries). We have been reading the forum for about 6 months, since we decided that we would like to live somewhere warm. I haven't posted before because until Sept we hadn't even visited Turkey. We have just had a brilliant 2 wk holiday in Calis (at the Seril II)just round the corner from The Forum! if we'd realised it was the members meeting place we would have called in. We really loved Fethiye/Calis and have come back full of plans to sell up in the UK and move out permanently next year. We have found answers to a lot of our initial questions on the forum and will no doubt need to ask lots more before before the big move. The members seem to be a happy, friendly lot and we hope to make good friends among you all. I might send you a photo for the rogues gallery if I can ever figure out how!. Best wishes to all - Glo & Lee.

HiYa

Welcome to the Forum.  Glad to hear you caught the "bug" of Calis as well.  I visited for the first time in June and fell in love with the place.  Went back in September as couldnt keep away.  Stayed at the Seril 2 both times, lovely friendly hotel, definately recommend it.

Good luck with your plans for moving over.  In the meantime, enjoy plenty of holidays there.

Amy

Thanks to everyone for your welcome messages.
Lindi, we will be particularly interested to hear how your move is going.Have you already bought somewhere?
We were planning to rent first while we look around, maybe the members will be able to help us arrange something nearer the time.
In the meantime we will keep on reading the forum and gleaning useful info as we go along.
Promise to check the archives before asking repeat questions, though up to date info is always more useful. Like - has the situation re foreign buyers been resolved yet? and how do you renew your visa with a day trip to Rhodes in the winter months? I know someone will be able to answer these questions. Lee & Glo.
