That's it. I'm leaving the country!
From Midnight on Sunday the tax on beer will go up by 4p a pint. I shall be leaving the UK at 07.05 Monday morning from Bristol International Airport (or Lulsgate as I still call it).
Mind you, I am only going on holiday so I shall be coming back a fortnight later. By that time all the publicans will have forgotten their feeble excuses about why they "had to" increase the actual price of a pint by 10p and blaming Gordon/Alistair for it.
