Hi everyone
this may seem like a daft question but is it true that the currency for turkey changes from the YTL to the EURO on 1st aug 08 or is this just an ugly rumour if so what happens to any ytl that is still about I know that Turkey are not in the EU as yet and just wondered how they could change to using Euros
thanks

My 2 eldest sons went to Foca the first time they went to Turkey, further up than Kusadasi, they said it was all euros there, they didn't use ytl at all. Alan

As the European parliament have only agreed to talks with Turkey in 2012 I should think it would be some time until the euro becomes the everyday currency for Turkey.
