Anyone recentley applied for work permit?

Has anybody recentley applied for a work permit or in the process at the moment?
There are several posts about this subject that I have read through but alot of them are from a couple of years ago, is it really as dificult as it first appears? (got a feeling it is lol)

Just doing the extension of mine at the moment. I have all the paperwork done for me and the only thing I have provided is my signature. Process takes around 2 months.

Hi Starman,
Is the process as hard as what some people make out? What sector do you work in and is there any advise you would give somebody thinking of taking such a big step?

extension and applying for a new one are 2 different things. You can legally work whilst you are waiting for your permit to get extended.
Mine came through in 2 months and not any problems.
