Levi Stubbs, died yesterday aged 72. He was one of the most distinguished soul singers of his generation and, as lead singer with the Four Tops, a pioneer of the Motown sound that dominated the pop charts throughout the 1960s and into the early 1970s.
He sang lead vocal on hits such as , I cant help myself, It's the same old song, Bernadete and the groups biggest hit, Reach out I'll be there.
