Question about food for self catering
« on: January 12, 2009, 23:07:55 PM »
I am renting a villa in Calis Beach in May.  Can I ask you regular visitors whether you bring any food with you, for self catering holidays?
I am planning on eating out every night and maybe some lunchtimes.  But I was wondering what is hard to buy in Turkey that may be worth bringing from the UK?
Is it legal to bring say a pack of cheddar or a vacuum pack of bacon, in my suitcase.
Is there a decent size supermarket, near Calis where we could stock up for the week?  I am a new visitor to this area and have only been to Turkey once before and stayed in Olu Deniz in a hotel.
Any tips for a first timer in self catering?
Thanks
Lorraine
