It would seem that the translations are probably both correct,depending on the source. This may help to Clarify. Quote "In the countries of the Eastern Mediterranean no clear distinctions are made between a couple of aromatic herbs of the mint family. In Turkish Kekik and related forms in Hebrew and Persian may be applied to a variety of native herbs including Oregano, Marjoram, Thyme, and Savory depending on the region and the local flora" Unquote
Put it down to the peculiarities of the Turkish language where one single word can mean so many different things
