All,

I have been trying to package up my own Holiday for next year
and whilst there are hundreds of Companies all offering cheap
flights they are not really! That is because most of them either tie
the flight to booking a hotel with them or the flights alone are much more!

Any advice on true cheap flights? Tried the usuals like www.sunshine.co.uk, Travelrepublic etc.

I can get a flight 25th Septemeber with www.sunmaster.co.uk for £ 199 each but unfortunately they don't hve the Hotels I wanted to stay in. Great deals in general but I wanted a specific Hotel this time.

Try Thomas Cook, Cyprus Turkish, Easyjet, Goldtrail etc., for their own flights.
Alternatively, you can book a package from the agent, but, ask for a specific hotel, it may still work out cheaper for you than doing separately.  Holidays for you are probably good for this as are Goldtrail.

You could always book the cheapest package, as some are cheaper than flights and then book your own hotel, just tell the rep when you arrive you have your own accomadation, one is drawback, you then have to get your own transfer.

Had a look at onthebeach as I have not seen than one before.  Wanted Aberdeen/Dalaman.   Took me from Aberdeen to Amsterdam to Istanbul to Dalaman for the "bargain" price of $1882,20.  Perhaps it's cheap if you live in London.

Jacqui
Im also ABZ and i dont think you will get any cheaper than Globespan advertise, my son got one for £190 in Aug and that was booking the night before, we got good prices for next year when they first come out for 2010.

Hi Dycedon,
I know, I have already booked Globespan for next year and we did get a good deal, but was interested to see what this other site would bring up for for future reference.
Us lot in Scotland have very little choice when we fly and must snap up any cheap offers quickly. People living in England don't realise how lucky they are to have the luxury of choice.
Jacqui.

Just a warning re Travelrepublic take care if you are booking or have bookings with them , they have been selling flights and packages without their own ABTA or ATOL certificates [ they have used other operators ones] .
the court case is taking place [ expected to last 3 weeks] brought by the CAA who could fine them or bar them from selling Dynamic flights / packages.
details in my travel trade gazzete yesterday.
